Jera Lodge earned her BFA in Jewelry & Metalsmithing from Edinboro University in Pennsylvania in 2012. Afterward she spent time as an artist-in-residence and worked as a studio assistant at multiple craft centers. She now works as a full-time studio artist in Philadelphia, creating production and one of a kind jewelry pieces. Jera focuses on pattern-based jewelry that has the illusion of volume while staying very lightweight. She assembles architecturally-inspired shapes with unique connections, using steel, gold, silver, and spray paint, resulting in playful, kinetic, and interactive jewelry. Each of her pieces is hand formed and finished.
